On the eve of the summer, the voluntary interruption of pregnancy (abortion) is again center stage. As every year, women will face shortages of beds, at risk of exceeding the legal deadlines. Result: while in some regions (Ile-de-France, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, Rhône-Alpes), private clinics ensured two thirds of abortions, they represent only half ".Associations have also got the imminent release of the decree on medical abortion in town. On July 2, 2004, the Official Gazette published the decree on medical abortion 2. On 23 July 2004, the order pricing of this act is finally published.Abortion from hospital to homeOnce the system is developed, women can go to a doctor who has an agreement with a public or private institution. After a week of reflection, the patient receives a dose of Mifégyne® (which stops the pregnancy) before returning two days later prostaglandin to facilitate expulsion. Drug abortion are practiced until the end of the 5th week of pregnancy;
The control period for consultation and verification abortion should be made between 14 and 21 days after the abortion, instead of 10 to 15 days;
The decree imposes more perform abortions as recommended by the National Health Accreditation Agency (ANAES) but only to practice monitoring of women as outlined in these recommendations;
Only physicians who have signed a contract with a health facility practicing abortion can have access to medicines."We were committed to this notion of agreement with a referral center and are pleased that it has been accepted.
